Bridging Korean Culture with Software Development

Hello, I'm Jaewoong Suh. You might call me a 'Coding Scholar', but I see myself as more than that. My journey spans across embracing traditional Korean culture and merging it with the ever-evolving world of software.

Embracing The Joy of Creation

My journey began with a simple game I created on Entry—a Korean version of scratch—back in 2017. This platform became a canvas for my imagination, teaching me the joy of crafting something and sharing it with a community. My initial experiences with users' positive feedback gave me the motivation to embark on bigger projects.

Broadening Horizons in Software Development

I didn't stop at Entry. From studying trigonometry to make my own 2D game engine to coding with languages like Python, Java, and C, my thirst for knowledge led me to craft 3D games, web applications, and so much more. Alongside, I realized the importance of design, UI/UX, and began enhancing my skills in these domains.

Traditional Culture through Digital Lenses

Being an aficionado of Korean traditional culture, I found a unique niche. My pursuit led to the creation of Joseon Space—an intuitive website promoting Korean culture for an international audience. Another notable project is Gung Gung You You, aiming to aggregate events of Korea's palaces in a user-friendly manner for both locals and tourists. And keep an eye out for Hanbok Space, a one-stop hub for the vibrant Korean attire, Hanbok.

Continuous Learning & Collaboration

My aspirations extend beyond personal projects. By being active on platforms like GitHub, I've connected with global developers, contributed to open source, and imbibed a vast spectrum of knowledge. My vision? To eventually create a tech company that brings real value to people's lives.

Future Endeavors

Software development isn’t just a career for me; it’s a calling. I aim to major in computer science and envision establishing my tech firm in a decade. My aspiration? To develop services that seamlessly marry Korean culture with IT innovations.

To everyone out there - if you're passionate about something, keep exploring and creating. Welcome to my journey, where traditional Korea meets the digital age.
